Tangible trade and intangible trade

[China Glass Network] 1. Visible Trade
Tangible trade is the symmetry of “invisible trade” and refers to the import and export trade of commodities. Since the commercial port is a tangible object that can be seen, the import and export of goods is called tangible import and export, that is, tangible trade. In the international trade, there are many kinds of tangible goods. In order to facilitate statistics, the United Nations Secretariat drafted the “United Nations Classification of International Trade Standards” in 1950, which was revised in 1960 and 1974 respectively. In the 1974 revision, international trade goods were divided into 10 categories, 63 chapters, 233 groups, 786 groups and 1924 basic items. These 10 categories of goods are: food and active foods (0); beverages and tobacco (1); non-edible raw materials other than fuel (2); fossil fuels, lubricants and related raw materials (3); Animal and vegetable oils and fats and oils (4); unlisted chemicals and related products (5); finished products classified mainly by raw materials (6); machinery and transportation equipment (7); miscellaneous products (8); Base products (9). In international trade, 0 to 4 types of goods are generally referred to as primary products, and 5 to 8 types of goods are generally referred to as finished products.
Second, invisible trade (Invisible Trade)
Intangible trade is the symmetry of “tangible trade”, which refers to the income and expenditure incurred by the import or export of labor or other non-physical goods. mainly include:
1. Income and expenses of all subordinated expenses related to the import and export of goods, such as transportation fees, insurance fees, commodity processing fees, handling charges, etc.;
2. Other income and expenditures unrelated to the import and export of goods, such as international travel expenses, diplomatic personnel fees, remittances of expatriates, fees for using patent licenses, dividends and dividends remitted by foreign investment, income and expenses of companies or individuals serving abroad . The income in the above items is called “intangible export”; the expenditure in the above items is called “intangible import”.
The tangible trade is subject to customs clearance, so the amount is displayed in the customs statistics of a country; the intangible trade is not processed by the customs, and the amount is not reflected in the customs statistics, but it is displayed on the balance of payments of a country.
