Use of surfactants

Also known as surfactants. A substance that significantly alters (usually reduces) the interfacial tension of the liquid or the interfacial tension between the two phases. A non-polar group containing both a hydrophilic polar group and hydrophobic in the molecule tends to concentrate on the interface between the liquid and the other phase in the liquid to form a thin molecular film to reduce the tension and thereby generate a run. Wet, emulsification, dispersion, foaming, etc. There are many types, mainly anionic, cationic and nonionic.
