In recent years, the fashion show has been largely shaped by the renowned Chinese designer Zhang Zhaoda. This year, Tong Wei Company collaborated with the Zhongshan City Leisure and Apparel Design and Research and Development Center to organize the "Oriental Children's Cultural and Creative Design Competition" alongside the Chinese Casual Wear Expo, which took place at the Guangdong Expo Center in Zhongshan. Attendees from around the world, including international buyers, witnessed the remarkable achievements of Zhongshan's casual wear industry over the past decade, while also reflecting on the challenges and successes that defined its journey.
The Leisure Expo covered an area of 20,000 square meters, featuring a total of 720 booths—nearly 100 more than the previous session. Among them, 521 were brand zones, marking an increase of 170 booths compared to the last event. This accounted for 72% of the total number of booths, clearly showcasing the growing importance of branding in the industry.
Over four days, the event attracted 58 multinational purchasing delegations from 30 countries and regions. A total of 8.053 billion yuan in investment and trade was signed, including 68 investment projects totaling 1.112 billion yuan and 101 trade agreements worth 6.941 billion yuan. The scale and success of the event demonstrated the strong global interest in China's casual wear sector.
On the morning of the 22nd, the China Casual Wear Brand Fashion Show (Shaxi) kicked off on the second floor of the Zhongshan Expo Center, officially opening the exhibition. Nine casual wear brands from Shaxi participated, drawing buyers and fashion enthusiasts from across the globe. The event was grand and well-attended, with Zhang Zhaoda once again taking the spotlight as the leading designer.
The participating brands included Cecilia, Sanfan, Chinese Dresses, Ai Long, Oriental Children, Egu, Crocodile Shirts, and others. Inside the pavilion, traditional elements like the winding Great Wall, vibrant red flags, and culturally rich T-shirts created a vivid representation of China’s heritage. Kwong Huo-source, Chairman of Tong Kwong Garment Co., Ltd., stated that the Great Wall symbolizes Chinese culture, aligning perfectly with the concept behind their "Oriental Children" brand.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the exhibition hall, Xiahu Family focused on the theme of "family pack." Models showcased the company's corporate culture and brand values through interactive parent-child performances, offering a warm and heartfelt experience to the audience. Guo Changqi, Chairman of Xiahu Shijia Garments Co., Ltd., emphasized that the elevated booth design and the concept of a "Boutique Exhibition" played a key role in enhancing the overall appeal of the event.
This year's expo not only highlighted the development of the casual wear industry but also celebrated the fusion of tradition and modernity in Chinese fashion.
